Overview

This workshop is designed to enhance participants’ appreciation and use of time as a resource and become more conscious of their use of time in the workplace. Participants will explore their own personal approach to time management (and time-wasting) and create an action plan that ensures better use of their time and the time of others.

  • Manage their personal time and focus their attention on non-work activities to recharge
  • Know when to relax and switch off – introduction to techniques such as meditation, deep breathing exercises and mindfulness

    About the Trainer

    Martina Harte

    Martina is an experienced educational consultant, trainer, manager and facilitator deeply committed to the development of human potential. Her experience in education/training delivery at every level on the national qualification framework (QQI)and across the diverse fields of business and educational leadership development equips her with the knowledge and flexibility to meet the needs of the learners. Martina held a senior management role for fifteen years in Waterford Institute of Technology, as Head of Department of Student Life and Learning during a period of rapid change and expansion in the Institute. She led a diverse team of professionals and grew her department from inception to becoming a model of best practice in the sector.

    Martina holds two master’s degrees, one in Teaching and Learning and a second in Educational Guidance, counselling and Career Planning. Her experience in mentoring and coaching is underpinned by expertise in Emotional intelligence. In more recent times she integrates a Conversational Intelligence model in her delivery which frames her training approach. This approach helps embed for leaders/managers an understanding of recent developments in neuroscience which in turn helps them to optimize their performance and that of their teams.

    When Martina works with a company where possible, she aligns her training with company policies and procedures to ensure the training is relevant for the manager and to provide a springboard for their career progression with the company. She believes the alignment of the leadership training with the strategic vision of the company creates a greater synergy between the individual employee and the company.

    Martina has worked in a myriad of educational/training contexts over the years and she identified high levels of stress among employees at every level in organisations. Therefore, Martina trained in yoga and meditation with a range of international world-renowned teachers and is a qualified advanced teacher. She integrates and teaches a range of skills in her programmes that are recognized as having a significant impact on individuals and organisations. Her style is informed, empowering and progressive.

    • MA in Guidance and Counselling
    • MA in Teaching and Learning
    • EQ-I 2.0 and EQ-I 360 Assessor and Coach certified
