How Your Organisation Is Perceived by Talent - And Why It Matters - Webinar

Overview

Many organisations today are hiring, but not always attracting the right people. Others are attracting talent but struggling with retention. In many cases, the issue isn’t the role, the salary or even the market. It’s how the organisation is understood and experienced, often long before a conversation ever takes place. This session explores Employer Brand from a practical business perspective, not as an abstract marketing concept, but as a critical driver of hiring success, retention and long-term organisational performance.

Drawing on Fastnet’s 25+ years of experience as a strategic talent partner, we will examine:

  • Why talent decisions are increasingly influenced by perception, not just opportunity.
  • How candidates and employees assess organisations, and what they look for.
  • The common disconnect between how organisations present themselves and how they are experienced
  • Why strong cultures can often be invisible in the market, and the impact of that

Employer Brand is not just about what you say.

It is the alignment between:

  • Your DNA as an organisation and what you stand for
  • What people experience internally
  • And what the market sees externally

When these are not aligned, organisations often experience friction in attracting and retaining the right talent, even when everything else appears to be in place.

Why this Matters

Employer Brand is increasingly becoming a strategic asset, directly influencing an organisation’s ability to compete for talent.

  • LinkedIn research shows companies with strong Employer Brands can reduce cost per hire by 43%.
  • According to Gartner, organisations with a clearly defined and aligned Employee Value Proposition (EVP) see a 28% reduction in turnover.

As competition for talent continues, clarity and authenticity in how your organisation shows up in the market have never been more important.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this session, participants will:

  • Understand Employer Brand beyond messaging, as a business and talent strategy lever
  • Recognise how perception is formed and what influences candidate decisions
  • Identify potential gaps between internal reality and external perception
  • Understand the connection between Employer Brand, hiring outcomes, and retention
  • Gain practical insight into where their current approach may be limiting results

Why Should I Attend

You may be experiencing:

  • Difficulty attracting the right calibre of candidates

  • Challenges in retaining key people
  • A sense that your organisation is not fully understood in the market
