Cork Chamber Chief Executive Conor Healy today warmly welcomed the positive economic news for Cork with the Pfizer announcement which sees the creation of 130 jobs across its three manufacturing operations in Little Island and Ringaskiddy in Cork and in Grange Castle in Dublin.
Commenting on the excellent news, Mr. Healy said, "Today’s announcement is testament to the great work of the management and team of Pfizer in Little Island and Ringaskiddy over the last number of years. Today’s news provides confidence of continuing investment by Pfizer who have been a major contributor to economic growth and employment in the Cork region since 1969.”
Mr. Healy concluded by saying, “As we move through the fourth quarter of 2015, it is clear that regional economic activity and growth continue to improve and it is vital that the necessary elements required for Cork as a region to optimize the benefits of this growth are put in place. These include the timely initiation of key infrastructural projects such as the N28 Cork to Ringaskiddy and the upgrade of Dunkettle interchange, following their inclusion in the government’s recent capital plan.”
