Douglas Golf Club and Brown Thomas team up for the Golf Club's first ever Fashion Show in aid of iconic local charities

One of Cork’s most established golf clubs Douglas Golf Club together with well-known retailer Brown Thomas recently took the fashion world by storm, to unveil the latest autumn and winter fashion collections with trends of the season at Douglas Golf Club.

The show which is in aid of three iconic Cork Charites namely, Penny Dinners, Irish Guide Dogs and Children Ward in CUH ., kicked off with a drinks reception at 7pm , followed with full four course meal at 7.30 pm and entertainment being provided by pianist Oliver Keane

Using the golf club as a backdrop, the innovative retailer continues to transform the way designers bring their collection to market by allowing discerning consumers to see up close and personal, the trendy fall collection which included many ‘must haves’ and colures of the season.

Speaking at the show, Club President Declan Farmer was quotes as saying “The BTs fashion show has been a fabulous experience for us all at Douglas Golf Club with significant monies raised for local charities. In many ways, golf and fashion are very alike in that they can be play a very important part in our lives., they are life both life enhancing and in many ways both provide plenty of pleasure, indeed all this and more was quite evident last Tuesday night at the show. My thanks and best wishes to all at Brown Thomas for all they have done, what a great evening! “
