City Life's Stephen Barry awarded Gold Medal in The President's Education Awards

Following the completion of a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning, Cork man, Stephen Barry, Director at City Life Wealth Advisors, has received a prestigious Gold Medal in The President’s Education Awards.

The President’s Education Award is awarded to students who finish top of their class in certain of the Institute of Banking’s educational programmes, and Stephen picked up the award, coming top of the class of 100 students.

The Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning is a joint initiative of the Life Insurance Association, the Institute of Banking and the Irish Tax Institute and is ultimately awarded by UCD on successful completion of the required six module course. The programme, which is the gateway qualification to the Certified Financial Planner™ designation, has become the gold standard educational programme for those involved in the provision of financial planning services in Ireland.

The Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) certification is the world’s most widely respected financial planning designation and it marks the Certified Financial Planner™ as being professional, competent, ethical and professional to the highest global standards.

Stephen joined the City Life board in July 2012, acting as finance director, as well as advising clients directly. He is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and holds both a BComm and an MBS from UCC.
