Frits Potgieter appointed as General Manager of the four star, Imperial Hotel in Cork city

Frits Potgieter has been appointed as General Manager of the four star, Imperial Hotel in Cork city. The hotel which is owned by the Flynn family is one of four hotels within Flynn Hotels and has recently undergone a €1 million renovation which has seen the addition of a new bar, gym and the renovation to date of over half of the 125 bedrooms.The Imperial Hotel will celebrate its bicentenary in 2016 and is one of Cork’s most iconic hotels.
Mr. Potgieter worked with The Doyle Collection where he held the position of General Manager of both The Kensington Hotel and The Marylebone Hotel, London. He was also Deputy General Manager at the 5 star Milestone Hotel and Apartments, London and The Chesterfield Mayfair Hotel, London. In 2011 he achieved the highest AA score ever achieved at the Milestone and a recommendation to award the Hotel Restaurant 3AA Rosettes. Mr. Potgieter holds a Bachelor Degree in Commerce (Industrial Psychology) and an Honours Degree in Strategic Business Management from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa.
