Seamus Coffey and Eoin O’Leary from the School of Economics will discuss the ‘Pre-Budget Frenzy’ and ‘Continuing constraints on Ireland’s Public Finances’ in the first of a series of public talks, tomorrow evening Tuesday 6th October .

Seamus Coffey is a lecturer in the School of Economics, UCC. He has recently been appointed to the Irish Fiscal Advisory Council (a position he will take up in January 2016). He is speaking at this event in a personal capacity. His talk will be on the theme of "The continuing constraints on Ireland's public finances”.
Eoin O’Leary is a senior lecturer in the School of Economics, UCC. He is the author of the book Irish Economic Development: Serial Under-Achievement or High-Performing EU State, published in 2015 by Routledge. His talk will be on the theme “Pre-Budget Frenzy: What have we learned?"
