Brewery Quarter abuzz with activity for Irish toast to all things Bavarian!

Brewery Quarter will be abuzz with activity for Irish toast to all things Bavarian with over 20,000 expected at Oktoberfest Beag which kicks off tomorrow (01st October) in Cork.
Oktoberfest Beag, which offers Corkonians a celebration of all things Bavarian, will run until 11th October before proceeding to Galway (14th-18th October) and onto The Treaty City bringing the festival to a close in Limerick (22nd – 25th October).

Oktoberfest Beag aims to bring an authentic and fun celebration of all things Bavarian to your doorstep! You will be welcomed by authentic Oktoberfest Fräuleins serving mouthwatering traditional bavarian dishes; bratwurst, Schweinsbraten and Rinderbraten, as well as Charcuterie and Vegetarian Boards, all washed down by cool Maßkrug of Paulaner beer or ‘bocksbeutel’ and an array of traditional beers and wines.

Festivities will swing into action between 4pm and 10:30pm so put on your favourite lederhosen and alpine accessories and be sure to hang around for performances by local brass bands – The Barrack Street Brass Band and the Blarney Brass Band as well as special guest performances each evening by the famous Edelweiss Oompah Brass Band who really get everyone in the festival mood.

An extra element to this year’s festival offering will see LIVE Rugby World Cup matches being shown on giant screens at each of the Oktoberfest Beag events. Add to the mix; games, dj’s and some fantastic corporate packages and it promises to be an evening jam-packed with uber culture and craic in equal measure!
