A RECORD 30,000 ATTEND MIDLETON FOOD AND DRINK FESTIVAL

Extended Festival Proves a Huge Success for East Cork Town
The Midleton Food and Drink Festival attracted more than 30,000 people this year – a record number for the festival. The event, which spanned almost 2 weeks, attracted hundreds of producers, local growers and exhibitors who showcased their produce to the crowds.
“This year’s event was the biggest and best year yet – our numbers were double that of 2014 and we are absolutely delighted. The Midleton Food & Drink Festival is a really community event and I would like to thank all of those who helped make it the success it was this year,”said Andrea Gunn, Midleton and Area Chamber of Commerce.
Festival-goers were treated to food and cookery demonstrations, whiskey, craft beer and wine tasting sessions, and a full schedule of entertainment for all the family, including live music, face painting, cupcake decorating, street performers, puppet shows and a kiddies disco.
The Midleton Food and Drinks Festival is supported by Midleton and Area Chamber, Midleton Park Hotel and sponsored by Irish Distillers.
