Celebrating Cork Business Women

The Network Cork 2014 Women in Business Awards took place 16th May in The Clarion Hotel in Cork. Over 130 business women attended this sold out event to celebrate the vibrancy, positivity and togetherness that Cork women in business are renowned for.
Joan Walsh, Network Cork Awards and Event Co-ordinator stated, “Network Cork is a strong and well established business network. Our annual awards event is a highlight in the Cork business calendar. The high attendance and record number of applications for these prestigious awards is testament to that”.
Judges for the Network Cork Women in Business Awards were: Adrienne Rodgers, .Head of Enterprise, Local Enterprise Office, Cork City, Linda Kiely, MD, Voxpro and Billy O Connor, MD Discovery Partnership.
The Winners were as follows:-
• Businesswoman of the Year - New Business : Tracey Ryan, Owner Bia Beauty Skincare
• Businesswoman of the Year – Employee : Mary Scriven, Solicitor, Ernest J Cantillon Solicitors
• Businesswoman of the Year Self-Employed Aideen O Grady, Owner Starcamp Performing Arts Network.
Finally the Overall Winner of the Network Cork Women in Business Awards was presented to Aideen O Grady, Owner Starcamp Performing Arts Network, who was presented with the Keanes Jewellers Perpetual Trophy.
