On Thursday, 1st May 2014 at 7pm, Room G05,Western Gateway Building, UCC, Dr Sean Mc Carthy, Hyperion Ltd will deliver a workshop on EU Funding Opportunities for Cork companies (large and small) under the Horizon 2020 Programme.
The workshop will provide a Horizon 2020 road map and advice for companies new to European research programmes. It will also provide an opportunity for companies to network with researchers and those agencies charged with supporting the Programme at European, national and local level.
Horizon 2020 is Europe’s largest ever fund for research and innovation with a €79 billion budget from 2014 to 2020. The Programme aims to specifically target and incentivise increased business engagement in projects and incorporates a range of measures to encourage participation of the business community in developing new and existing innovations.
Dr Sean Mc Carthy, who hails from Cork, is an internationally acknowledged expert in EU funding who specialises in designing training courses for researchers and businesses who seek EU support for research projects; to date he has delivered training to over 45,000 researchers in 29 countries over the past 17 years.
