We are delighted to partner with the IITD (Irish Institute of Training & Development) to bring this Performance Excellence through Leadership Coaching event to Cork.

Can a leader become a coach?

Yes, but coaching demands the highest qualities of that leader from empathy, relationship building, observation, feedback, upskilling through to developing performance coaching action plans. As the late Sir John Whitmore of the GROW model fame wrote in his best seller 'Coaching For Performance', for managers who want to coach , unfortunately “ there are few role models to follow”.

We are delighted to share the learnings from an Irish best practice team in Ulster Bank who are role modelling Leaders as Coaches. One recent significant development is that the executive team have undertaken an intensive coaching course to become internal coaches. The IITD/Association of Coaching 2017 best practice Excellence in Coaching award winning team, led by Fiona Kingston, will present their story in a panel discussion.

Fiona will be joined by Senior Manager, Ulster Bank Declan Daly to share how their managers and leaders have embraced a coaching approach to achieve performance excellence. This coaching culture is key to helping them with their ambition to become number one for Customer Service , Trust and Advocacy.

Karl O’Connor who is an Executive Coach will facilitate the panel and audience discussion to ensure plenty of interaction and engagement.
