29th June 2015
Ireland is famous all over the world for its one hundred thousand welcomes (Céad Míle Fáilte) and now Junior Chamber International (JCI) Cork is on the hunt for Cork’s Friendliest Business. Do you know a business that makes you smile every time you use their service? If you do, don’t keep it a secret, nominate them for the JCI Cork Friendly Business Awards Competition. We all need to support local businesses to ensure they have a future.
The JCI Cork Friendly Business Awards seeks to recognise the important role played by small businesses in the continuous development and improvement of our economy and local communities. The competition aims to award businesses that go the extra mile and provide an outstanding service to their customers and their community at large. It is particularly important in this economic environment to highlight businesses that don't allow their standards to slip and continue to provide quality services.
Mary-Kate Portley, President of JCI Cork says, “This is the sixth year of the awards in Cork and each year we get such a great response from business owners in the city. The awards allow us to highlight local businesses and their contribution to creating sustainable economic growth here in Cork. We are always overwhelmed with the support we receive for this flagship JCI project and we are proud to acknowledge the small businesses that play a vital role in the economy of our city.”
Eabha O’Leary Fitzpatrick who is part of the organising committee for the awards added that “JCI Cork is delighted to have the support of Clayton Hotel Silver Springs, the Cork Chamber of Commerce and the Evening Echo for organising the awards. By running this initiative, JCI Cork aims to support the business community and reward the fantastic and friendly businesses we have here in the city.”
The Friendliest Business in Cork will be judged on the following criteria: Customer Care, Social Friendliness, Disability Access, Digital Experience, Eco-Friendliness and Shop Layout and Design. These six categories are the foundations of a business that has the customer at the center of their business.
The closing date for nominations is July 10th 2015.
