Asia Business Week Ireland 2015

Over 1,000 delegates are expected to attend the second Asia Business Week, which includes a series of eight business and cultural events aimed at developing trade and investment opportunities between Ireland and Asia and will take place in Dublin and Cork from 8-14 July. Asia Business Week Ireland 2015 was officially launched on 3 June by the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government Alan Kelly TD, who highlighted the importance of Cork being included in Asia Business Week Ireland this year, given Cork’s expertise in the Food and Agritech realm and how Cork set an example for sister city twinnings between Ireland and China in its twinning with Shanghai.
Speakers at Cork Events include business leaders from Asia, EU and Ireland, as well as top ranking Government Ministers, EU officials and high level ranking government delegations from across Asia, presenting a unique networking opportunity for Irish businesses that are looking to grow by expanding into Asia. Speaking at the launch of Asia Business Week Ireland 2015, Martin Murray, Executive Director of Asia Matters highlighted the importance of fostering new opportunities for Irish businesses in Asia as well as building upon the existing trade relations to drive new bilateral partnerships.
Organised by Asia Matters, an economic institute based in Ireland dedicated to developing Ireland Asia and EU Asia business relations, co-hosts of Asia Business Week Ireland 2015 in Cork include Cork City Council, Cork County Council, Cork Institute of Technology and Cork Chamber of Commerce.
