Food for Thought with Smarter Egg

The Summer season of Smarter Egg events at the White Horse in Ballincollig, Cork gets under way on Monday, 11 May at 6pm with a line-up of four remarkable people with fascinating stories to tell.

Speaking in advance of the event, Aodan Enright, Founder of Smarter Egg said, “Our contributors this month are part of the food and drink scene in the Cork region. They are impressively successful and in this intimate music venue we are going to hear their stories up close and personal and celebrate their amazing accomplishments”.“We are delighted to have Ernest Cantillon join us in our Red Chair for an in-depth interview. Ernest has already built a remarkable CV founding several new businesses, each characterised by his willingness to be innovative. We'll explore his progression through the development of venues like Sober Lane, Electric, Voodoo Rooms, Sugar Cube, and now into a recruitment services business aimed at the hospitality sector.”

Aodan Enright went on to say, “On 11 May we will also be joined by three very talented entrepreneurs for our Egg Talks, all of whom share Ernest’s ‘can do’ attitude to business:

- Jack Crotty, owner of The Rocket Man salad and juice bar in Cork city centre and supplier dozens of tasty fresh salads at farmers markets, proving fast food is healthy.
- Veronica Kenneally, founder of award winning Veronica’s Snacks available in health food stores and in major supermarket chains in Ireland and the UK and
- Scott Baigent, Director of craft brewing company Eight Degrees Brewery located in Mitchelstown and supplying thousands of customers in Ireland and overseas”.

Tickets for this event are €30 including food and booking fee. Advance booking is essential at www.smarteregg.com.
