BANK OF IRELAND KERNEL CAPITAL VENTURE FUND €1.25M INVESTMENT IN DISPLAYNOTE TECHNOLOGIES

Kernel Capital through the Bank of Ireland Kernel Capital Growth Fund confirms it has made a €1.25M series ‘A’ investment in DisplayNote Technologies Limited (“DisplayNote”), an InvestNI supported Belfast Company with offices in Spain and USA.

DisplayNote build technologies designed to make it easier for people to present, share, connect and collaborate in real-time across large-format displays, desktop and mobile devices. With a current team of 24 people, this investment will enable further growth in employment. Today, DisplayNote partner with some of the world’s largest manufacturers of display technology including NEC, BENQ and Sahara. DisplayNote’s products are now available in 22 languages, distributed globally and there are sales to date of almost 1 million devices incorporating Displaynote’s software products.

DisplayNote recognised early that connecting presenters and participants and enabling collaboration through mobile devices and presentation media offered unique advantages, and they built a new platform functionally rich by comparison with competing solutions. With a clearly defined technical roadmap incorporating new features requested by their customers and novel innovations that will extend their market penetration, DisplayNote, with its broad initial customer base is already recognised as an important player. We are excited about the potential of this Company, and pleased to be part of the DisplayNote team as it builds on its early success to become a substantial player in the global mobile collaboration market.”
Dr. Daniel McCaughan, Partner, Kernel Capital

“We are delighted to secure investment from The Bank of Ireland Kernel Capital Growth Fund, in November we will launch our new products at the Dublin Web Summit and this investment enables us to accelerate this product roll out. Having access to the technology and market expertise within Kernel Capital working closely with their team we look forward to the hands on support they will bring to DisplayNote as we scale the company over the coming years.
