Voxpro wins Cork Company of the Year Award
Cork SME Company of the Year is Johnson & Perrott Motor Company
Emerging Cork Company of the Year is AnaBio Technologies

Cork Chamber, in association with Vodafone, today announced that Voxpro is the overall winner of the Cork Chamber/Vodafone Cork Company of the Year Award. Other category winners include:
• Emerging Cork Company was awarded to AnaBio Technologies: bringing patented technologies and bio-coated ingredients to specific locations in the human body
• The Cork SME Company Award was won by Johnson & Perrott Motor Company: founded over 200 years ago, Johnson & Perrott Motor Company is a leading provider of automotive services, headquartered in Cork City
• The Large Company Award was also won by Voxpro: a multilingual business process outsourcing provider, delivering customer contact solutions on behalf of more than 100 SME’s and multinational corporations

Speaking at the Cork Company of the Year Awards, Gillian Keating, President of Cork Chamber said, “The Cork Company of the Year Awards recognise the world class achievements of companies competing in the three main categories. Year after year, in tandem with our partner Vodafone, we reward excellence across every sector. The calibre of the entries this year was extremely high and the Awards highlight innovative companies who deliver products and services that drive growth and create jobs regionally, nationally and internationally. Our finalists and winners are passionate, knowledgeable and driven to succeed and enhance the reputation of the region across the globe”.

Anne O’Leary, CEO, Vodafone Ireland, sponsors of the Awards, commented “I am delighted to yet again present these Awards to the ‘best in class’ businesses across the broad spectrum of well-established family-run businesses, through to young start-up companies who are breaking ground with new technologies and products. The Emerging Company Award was presented to Dr Sinéad Doherty, on behalf of AnaBio Technologies. Dr Doherty said, “I am thrilled and honoured to receive this Award on behalf of our team at AnaBio. In such a short time, we have shown that our commitment and drive to develop successful and marketable products, has paid off. This Award also recognises our success in securing a stream of multinational clients, to allow us to grow and develop the business on a global scale. I would also like to acknowledge the help we have received in Cork and nationally in Ireland”.

Accepting the Cork Company of the Year Award on behalf of Voxpro, the founders of the multi-lingual Business Process Outsourcing provider, Dan Kiely, CEO and Linda Kiely, Director, said that they were “deeply honoured” to accept the prestigious award on behalf of the entire Voxpro team.

AnaBio Technologies – Emerging Company Winner (less than 5 years in business)

Launched in 2011, technology-based company AnaBio has been going from strength to strength, developing microscopic capsules to protect food ingredients, animal feeds and therapeutics. AnaBio Technologies manufacture products which use milk proteins and other biomaterials to create capsules that can protect and deliver sensitive ingredients to a target site in the human or animal body. To date, the company has a clutch of product patents and an array of Irish and international food industry clients lining up to make use of its encapsulation technology to protect ingredients, as they deliver health benefits. AnaBio has validated and patented several technologies relating to sports nutrition, diabetes and weight management products.

Johnson & Perrott Ltd. – SME Company Winner (less than 100 employees)

Johnson & Perrott was founded in 1810 to manufacture horse-drawn carriages and traps and is now one of Ireland’s leading motor retailers. Owned by members of the Whitaker family (who are 5th and 6th generation descendants of the first Mr Johnson, who purchased the business in 1860), the Group is now invested in commercial vehicle hire, motor dealerships and fleet management to corporate customers.

Voxpro – Large Company Winner (more than 100 employees)

Voxpro is a multi-lingual Business Process Outsourcing provider, delivering customer contact solutions to companies and organisations in the domestic and international markets – ranging from SMEs to multinational corporations, including leading international blue-chip companies.
