22nd January 2014
Cork Chamber, in partnership with Vodafone, has announced the companies shortlisted for the 2014 Cork Company of the Year Awards.
‘This years awards have seen the highest number of entrants across all categories and we congratulate all companies that took part as the information supplied at each stage of the process was excellent. As a judge it was very exciting to see the breadth of companies in the region and the fantastic work being done so selecting the three shortlisted companies has been a tough challenge but we look forward to announcing the overall winners at our Annual Dinner on Feb 7th’, commented Conor Healy, Chief Executive of Cork Chamber.
Three companies have been shortlisted in each of the categories as follows:
Large Company (more than 100 employees)
SME Company (less than 100 employees)
Emerging Company (less than 5 years in business)
Anne O’ Leary, CEO of Vodafone Ireland added, ‘The calibre of entrants continues to excel each year and it’s interesting to see so many successful technology and innovation driven companies in this year’s finalists. Vodafone Ireland is committed to supporting businesses in Cork to build on their success. This year we will continue to invest in our ambitious network upgrade programme to bring mobile data everywhere there’s voice, and in tandem rolling out 4G across the country so that every company, no matter what size it is, can be sure that with Vodafone they can access high quality, reliable network coverage and maximise data services to support their business’s success and growth.’
The winner in each category as well as the overall winner will be announced at the Chamber Annual Dinner on Friday, 7th February at City Hall, Cork.
