Cork Chamber Chief Executive, Conor Healy, today welcomed the announcement of 100 new jobs at the customer contact management provider Voxpro.
Mr. Healy stated that ‘There has been an ongoing expansion in business process outsourcing services in recent years and Cork has been very successful in securing investment and employment within this particular sector. As a rapidly growing business area, such success is positive for Cork and testifies to the region’s ability to capitalize on the market opportunities growing industries provide.
Voxpro has developed significantly within this sector over a fourteen year period and today’s welcome announcement provides further employment opportunities for multilingual, technical and customer service staff. Great credit is due to the initiative, energy and commitment of the management and staff at Voxpro for their continuing achievements.’
Mr. Healy concluded by also recognizing the ‘wider good news on the jobs front for Cork today with the announcement of 40 additional jobs by food company Kepak, in addition to the 60 jobs already created by the company this year as well as the opening of new high quality office space at City Gate, Mahon where Dell currently employs 180 highly skilled personnel.’
