Supply.ie

A new online quotation system is aiming to save Cork businesses money and simplify the procurement process by sourcing great local suppliers with competitive quotes. supply.ie launched in Cork recently initially focusing on Printing. Therefore, any company looking for printed promotional material on the run up to Christmas or new business cards, brochures, letterheads etc. for 2011, supply.ie is the place to go!

supply.ie brings together buyers (looking to reduce procurement time and costs, while sourcing quality goods and services ) and suppliers (looking to gain access to SME sales leads at a reduced cost of sale and with minimal effort).

New online quotation system is aiming to save Cork businesses money was founded by Mike McGrath, who after years of working in IT and sales, saw a gap in the market for a simple to use and cost efficient sourcing website aimed at SME’s. Since founding supply.ie earlier this year, Mike has received fantastic support from the local Enterprise Boards, Cork City Partnership, the Rubicon Centre in CIT, Cork BIC and Enterprise Ireland. “These bodies provided me with unrelenting support, training and mentorship over the past year and supply.ie would not be here today without them. Assistance with business planning, networking and training are crucial to any fledgling business and novice entrepreneur. The South Cork Enterprise Board also provided some seed funding recently which gave supply.ie a much needed boost at this early stage. Similarly, the Cork Meet event held in Little Island recently was a fabulous initiative with multiple benefits to local businesses and the local economy.”

supply.ie is simple really and works like this; a buyer posts their printing specification(s) with supply.ie, relevant suppliers are automatically notified and can quote on this request. The buyer then receives competitive quotes and chooses a suitable supplier.

Finally, as supply.ie is currently being piloted around Printing, it is completely FREE to use. Plus, all new customers to the website can win a lovely new Apple iPad. All you have to do is use supply.ie to source print providers and provide feedback afterwards in the form of a quick survey.
