Santa’s Kingdom Arrives in 4D at the Maryborough Hotel and Spa

Following on from the success of Santa’s Kingdom last year, the team at the Maryborough Hotel and Spa have decided to go bigger, better and bolder for 2010 and have brought Santa’s Kingdom to life in 4D. The hotel has landed a coup by bringing the first 4D movie experience to Cork this Christmas, which opens on Saturday, 27 November 2010.

The 8 minute 4D cinema experience is set to be a new element of Santa’s Kingdom this year, which sold out completely in 2009, where a magical experience is guaranteed for all the family. See the 4D movie come to life as you are transported to Santa’s Kingdom. The 4th dimension allows you to feel the cold wind blow across your face as you travel with Santa on sleigh and be surrounded with bubbles as Santa sprinkles fairy dust all around.

Mary Bernard, Marketing Manager of the Maryborough Hotel & Spa said: “The 4D cinema experience is only available in a handful of theme parks and cinemas around the world so we are delighted to be introducing it for the first time to Santa’s Kingdom on the grounds of the Maryborough Hotel and Spa this year for 2010.”

“The highlight of Santa’s Kingdom experience includes kids meeting Santa Claus, having their photo taken and receiving a Christmas gift to take home. Kids can explore the Christmas grottos including Lapland features, polar bears and penguins all complete with animated characters from the North Pole. Pre-booking is essential as we completely sold out last year so we are advising parents to book early to avoid disappointment” she said.

Santa’s Kingdom is open from Saturday, 27 November until Wednesday 22 December 2010. Times include Monday to Thursday 3pm-7pm, Friday 3pm-5pm, Saturday 10am - 5pm and Sunday 10am-8pm.
