300 Guests Attend The Hope Foundation Annual Cork Lunch in association with QUINN-healthcare

This annual event is an integral part of HOPE’s fundraising, as it helps to fund projects for abandoned and abused street and slum children in Kolkata (Calcutta), as well as an opportunity to meet old friends and make new ones.

This year’s event was a fun filled one that kicked off at 12pm as guests explored the Retail Zone with a cocktail in hand, and visited stands from Giftguru.ie, Hattitude, Marian Creedon Hegarty and QUINN-healthcare to name a few. Mind Reader, Mentalist & Magician to the Stars, Liam Sheehan entertained and amazed lunch goers.

Guests were then treated to a fabulous 3 course meal and special performance by Cara O’Sullivan, Ireland’s Premier Operatic Soprano. There was also a great selection of raffle prizes up for grabs, but no one walked away empty handed as each guest received a goodie bag that included a copy of IMAGE Magazine, samples from Clarins, Brown Thomas Cork and much more.

Speaking at the lunch, Jenny Browne, Overseas Director of The Hope Foundation said “We are delighted to welcome QUINN-healthcare on board as sponsor of this year’s lunch. We are aware of the financial pressure on companies and people today but your support is invaluable to help the forgotten street and slum children of Kolkata. It is unthinkable to consider not carrying on with the work we have started and the progress we have made to the lives of so many; and so we cannot turn our backs on these children and send them back to a life of hell. I would also sincerely like to thank each and everyone of your for attending and showing your support today.”

Commenting after the event, Dónal Clancy, General Manager, QUINN-healthcare, said: “QUINN-healthcare is proud to have sponsored The Hope Foundation’s Annual Cork Lunch. For years, The Hope Foundation has dedicated considerable time and resources to funding projects to improve the lives of street children in Calcutta and we were delighted to be able to work closely with them through this sponsorship. It was great to see such a wide variety of people from across Cork come together and raise money for this worthy cause.”
