An Extra Train has been made available by Iarnrod Eireann from Cork to Dublin on Sunday morning, 19th September 2010 for Cork GAA fans wishing to travel to Dublin for the long awaited All-Ireland Football Final clash between Cork and Down in the senior final and Cork-v-Tyrone in the minor final.
Iarnród Éireann said today – “A total of six trains have now been provided from Cork on Sunday morning to cater for Cork GAA fans wishing to travel and support their county teams (minor and senior) in this years All-Ireland Football Finals in Croke Park”.
The extra train is scheduled to depart Kent Station, Cork on Sunday morning the 19th September at 09.00hrs and will serve Mallow (09.21hrs) and Charleville (09.35hrs) and Limerick Junction (09.57hrs) before it arriving in Dublin Heuston Station at 11.40hrs.
GAA fans can choose to return on any available train returning from Dublin on Sunday night or Monday.
Seats are also available on trains from Cork to Dublin on Friday and Saturday and returning from Dublin to Cork on Monday.
In the meantime, Iarnrod Eireann is asking all intending customers to purchase their rail tickets or reserve their seats on-line at WWW.IRISHRAIL.IE or through Iarnród Éireann’s Telesales number which is (021) 455-7185.
Priority will be given to customers who have booked their rail tickets on-line or through the telesales number.
