The Role
Working as part of Newsweaver's Senior Management Team, the Sales Manager will manage the day-to-day operations of the Newsweaver Sales Team, developing and executing sales strategies and driving revenue growth. The successful applicant will play an important role in helping us to meet the challenges ahead as we build on our current successes and accelerate the company in the next phase of sales growth and team expansion and will be a key member of the senior management team. The position is based in Cork and will report directly to the CEO.
Key responsibilities will include
Setting and successfully implementing a challenging sales plan to ensure that Newsweaver maximises growth in target markets;
Ensuring that the sales team achieves agreed sales targets;
Manage departmental budget, overheads, and cost-of-sale;
Sales team development & expansion, using best of class leadership, coaching, motivation, and performance measurement & improvement methods;
Drive constant improvement in current sales processes, refining, & improving sales measurement and reporting;
Contribute to the overall company strategy, growth, & development.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
o A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a similar field, advanced degree desirable;
o 3-5 years experience in International B2B Software Industry Selling Strategies;
o Successful track record of working in senior management;
o Advanced negotiation & sales skills;
o Advanced experience of Excel a must;
o Highly organised and detail oriented;
o Familiarity with reporting and process management;
o Have excellent presentation, writing & verbal communication skills
o Manage a multitude of tasks and stakeholders simultaneously;
o Collaborate and customer focused.

The Role
Working within our existing Sales Team, the key purpose of this position is to drive and consolidate Newsweaver's market leading position in the UK & Ireland. This will be achieved by maximising sales potential from existing leads, while also focusing on generating new business in strategically identified target markets. This role will report directly into the Sales Director and will be based in Cork. It will involve travel, particularly to the UK.

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a young, rapidly expanding company. You will be joining a highly motivated and experienced team using next generation software development methods. The role is challenging as well as rewarding. You will gain invaluable experience as Newsweaver's technology platform is built on state-of-the-art software and techniques. The position is based in Cork at the Airport Business Park. The salary is competitive and will be commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibility of the role is to manage the continued smooth operation and maintenance of the Newsweaver System.
The production system is hosted on an array of servers located in data centre in London and remotely managed. The servers run Linux and use technologies such as MySQL, Tomcat, Apache and Java.
Systems operation of Newsweaver's email software platform in compliance with Customer SLA's;
Ensure system security;
Maintaining day-to-day corporate network with redundant Internet connections;
Troubleshooting both hardware & software issues;
Produce documentation on operation of system;
Deal effectively with suppliers/third parties, e.g., Domain Name Registrars.
Person Specification & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will...
Hold a degree or recognised engineering qualification;
3-5 years experience in a similar role;
Deep Knowledge of email servers and there operations;
In-depth knowledge of IP networks, routing, switching, firewalling, QoS (CCNA or higher/similar qualification is preferred);
In-depth knowledge of Linux administration and maintenance (RHCE or higher qualification is preferred);
Extensive Networking Knowledge (Routers, Firewalls, Switches, DNS etc.);
Ability to solve complex problems under pressure;
Application Deployment (RPM, CF Engine);
Experience Operating Production Web Servers (Apache and Tomcat);
Analyzing and Controlling Security Risks;
Email Software (Postfix and other as required);
